Philadelphia, PA — On behalf of all who worked to make the 48th Annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show a success, we are pleased to announce that this year’s Show raised $282,000 for the Philadelphia Museum of Art, its sole beneficiary. At the 2024 wrap up meeting on December 16th, a check was presented to Sasha Suda, The George D. Widener Director and Chief Executive Officer, by Anja Levitties, Chair, Craft Show Directors, Marta Adelson, Women’s Committee President, and Show Manager Nancy O’Meara.
This year’s Show included 195 of the very best craft artists from across the United States, selected from over 600 juried submissions and 41 artists who were new to the Show. In addition, the work of 24 guest artists from Italy was showcased.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art’s largest single fundraiser, the Craft Show has raised over 15 million dollars in its now 48-year history. Funds raised support many museum initiatives, including special exhibitions, conservation equipment, educational and family programming, and acquisitions of art and contemporary craft.
Our gratitude is extended to all the dedicated sponsors, patrons, advertisers, artists, and committee volunteers who helped create this successful year of distinctive contemporary craft in Philadelphia.
