Philadelphia offers up a lot to its visitors, whether they’re from near or far. It is not only the birthplace of the US, it’s a city with award winning restaurants, numerous museums, and a place that has become known as a travel destination for fine contemporary craft, highlighted by the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, a premier event from November 11-13, with a preview party on November 10.

The Craft Show takes place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, centrally located in the heart of Center City. Mark your calendar and start planning for a November trip, officially CraftMONTH in Philadelphia, as designated with a Mayoral proclamation. The 46th annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show features 195 artists from across the country, including over 20 artists exhibiting from the Greater Philadelphia region. When you come to see their work in Philadelphia, you can buy directly from the artists for your own collection. In addition to the Craft Show, there are artist studios and workspaces all around the city, and Philadelphia is also home to The Clay Studio, The Center for Art in Wood, the Fabric Workshop & Museum, and galleries that cater to the art of fine craft, including Gravers Lane Gallery, Wexler Gallery, and Moderne Gallery.
Come for the Craft Show; stay for the great galleries, museums, restaurants, entertainment, and more. Make a weekend of it in this historic and cultural city; the ideal destination for collectors or anyone wanting to add unique, handmade one-of-a-kind pieces to their home, their wardrobe, or for gifts this holiday season.
