Philadelphia, PA — With thanks to all who supported the 2021 Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, we are pleased to announce this year’s fundraising total of $220,000. Philadelphia Museum of Art Director and CEO Timothy Rub accepted the check, presented by 2021 Show Chair Sally Sharkey and Show Manager Nancy O’Meara. This year’s in-person and online show was a safe and successful event, from the Preview Party Gala through the entire weekend. Loyal craft show attendees as well as newcomers flocked to the Convention Center and were pleased at the extra care taken to adhere to Covid safety guidelines. With cooperation from the attendees, artists, Craft Show Committee and Convention Center staff, the show was able to return to being in-person, while also maintaining an online show experience.
The museum’s largest single fundraiser, the PMA Craft Show has raised close to 14 million dollars in its now 45-year history. Presented by The Women’s Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, funds raised support museum initiatives, including education, acquisitions, and special exhibitions.
Save the date for the 2022 Show, November 11-13 with a Preview Gala on Thursday, November 10.
The Craft Show remains accessible via the website and we encourage you to visit often and click through to the websites of our 2021 exhibitors.
