Katie Strano

I weave items made to be used, loved, and worn in with time. My pieces are developed using a foundation of traditional techniques to build on to create modern designs inspired by nature, architectural details, and the love of a good tactile experience. I use a variety of natural fibers including sustainably grown cotton, silk, merino, wool, and linen. I hand-dye many of the yarns I use before weaving to create unique color stories to complement the original designs. My goal in weaving is to create loving textiles that become interwoven within those beautiful everyday moments.
