Judith Cohen

I was trained in traditional bookbinding at the North Bennet Street School in Boston where I began my career in book restoration. Soon after I began to use my knowledge of historical book and enclosure forms to create various styles of albums, journals, and boxes.  I branched out and constructed my own new forms, such as the 3-section jewelry box, a tall 3-drawer jewelry box and a wooden Coptic journal. I use paper and cloth from around the world in addition to making my own decorative painted and paste papers.
