About Rebecca Myers
I focus on the dichotomy of texture and color inherent in nature with layered metals. High karat gold, palladium and oxidized silver are used in most of my work while diamonds and colored stones are used to produce a dusting effect as opposed to being the focus. Some work starts with a casting and has many fabrication steps thereafter, while others are composed completely by fabrication techniques such as overlay and embossing. I utilize abrasive finishes and patinas to achieve color and texture.
