Marcia Reiver

In my hand-built ceramics, I work to capture my entire imagery in every vessel while coordinating patterns and color to make my collection. Each piece exists as a stand-alone. I love to play with the viewer's eye by using foreground and background elements, like fabric patterns, to create a piece that makes the viewer look twice and want to touch to see how it was made. I never know how a piece will turn out, as I let the clay dictate what it wants to be, and the designs emerge.
