Carson Sio

My work is an expression of artistic functionality. I combine my background in design and a passion for traditional metalsmithing techniques to produce original usable objects. With an aesthetic drawn from Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau era metalworking, my work is a rejection of mass production and the superfluous soulless objects that permeate our world. By slowing down and using methods of metalworking that are thousands of years old, I imbue an individual character into each piece with every stroke of the hammer to create one of a kind home goods.
