Handcrafted Evening and Daytime Handbags made from leather, exotic skins, and cork. Decorative techniques such as pleating, trapunto, applique, weaving , beading and embroidery are used on these one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces.

Beth Levine — New York, NY

Day and evening hand bags of farmed reptile and other fine leathers are hand cut, hand constructed and machine stitched. External leathers are used as they come from the tannery or are altered by applique, color blocking, decorative top stitching and other fiber techniques. I am also intrigued by the challenge of taking each skin individually and designing and making a single handbag which integrates its tiles and scales in a way that emphasizes and reinforces the shape and structure of the bag itself, for example the shoulder bag in which the crocodile tail becomes the gusset and strap.

Machteld Schrameyer — Hopkinsville, KY

Using my couture skills and 30 years of experience in draping, quilting and using my signature 'butstitch', to guarantee fluidity, I design a collection of unique jackets and coats. One of a Kind, Repeatable and limited Edition, sophisticated pieces can be worn on a pair of jeans as well as to the Opera. Custom dyed in my own colors, all skins are a by product of the food industry. Natural, biodigradable, recyclable and durable they are a contrast to petrol based fake fur material.
