Thursday, November 8th, 2007
12:00 PM Linda Sue Eastman, Winona, MN, booth #428 — Hear and see the details of the leather work, woodworking (many of her purses have carved wood) and surface design in the purses that have emerged from this artist's furniture-making background.
1:00 PM Mark Del Guidice, Norwood, MA, booth #426 — See the stages of the process from plain wood, to painting and carving. The artist describes his carved markings as intuitive hieroglyphs intended to evoke personal interpretations from each viewer.
2:00 PM Golden/Johnson, Hot Picks — Special Guests Cynthia Johnson of Cynthia Johnson Designs, and Linda Golden, of Linda Golden Boutique, will show selections from the Craft Show for wardrobe possibilities and decorating ideas.
3:00 PM Leslie Thompson, Oak View, CA, booth #430 — Demonstration of the carving process working with a green (unfired) pot. Black slip will be carved away from the surface to make the design. A variety of strokes will be shown, revealing the derivation of the artist's patterns.

12:00 PM Jennifer McCurdy, Vineyard Haven, MA, booth# 128 — A demonstration of the carving process of the artist's work in ceramics.
1:00 PM Shu Lu, Brimfield, MA, booth #409 — By cutting circles in wool felt and wool jersey, a very sculptural fashion collection was created. The artist will demonstrate the versatility of her collection and talk about the concept and philosophy of her designs.
2:00 PM Libby Ware, Port Orange, FL, booth #626 — "Some techniques for Changing the Surface of Porcelain". A viewers' perception and response to an object depends, in part, on what is going on with the surface. The artist will cover carving as well as applying slips under glazes, over glazes, enamels, lusters, oil paints, and other "stuff".
3:00 PM Joseph Galvan, Albuquerque, NM, booth #604 — A discussion of materials and a demonstration of the process used to work with acrylics.

12:00 PM Randall Darwall, Bass River, MA, booth #613 — An interactive demonstration of the versatility of color and tying techniques using this artist's hand-woven scarves and shawls.
1:00 PM Toni Sikes, Special Guest and Founder and CEO of Guild, Inc. — Toni will relate objects in the craft show to ideas she has written about in her new book, The Artful Home; Using Art and Craft to Create Living Spaces You'll Love.
2:00 PM Steve Ford, Philadelphia, PA, booth #209 — See how this artist uses polymer clay to make jewelry — beads, pins, earrings and bracelets — with a wide range of techniques.
3:00 PM Kurt Ebert, Ph.D., Special Guest and Neuropsychologist, Bala Cynwyd, PA — Speaks on "Practical Physics: Choosing People, Places and Things with Vibrational Frequencies that Enhance Well-Being".
4:00 PM Bill Hunter, Special Guest — Hear from a sculptor of thirty-five years working with wood and ivory, and how the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show boosted his early years. Sponsored by the Wood Turning Center, Philadelphia, concurrent with Hunter's retrospective exhibition at the Center "Transforming Visions: William Hunter 1970 — 2005".

12:00 PM Lisa Naples, Doylestown, PA, booth # 202 — This demonstration will show how to add texture to clay, and show how to apply colored slips, leaving the texture in tact.
1:00 PM Lori Bacigalupi, Norman, OK, booth #627 — Come and learn about the 2,000 year old process of batik and all of its magic. The artist will share the steps involved and the result she achieves with her fine wearable art.
3:00 PM Marne Ryan, Anaheim, CA, booth #327 — A demonstration of the principles of fold forming metal in the making of a vessel.
